Remembering Gaston Saint-Pierre
1940-2011
The pioneering work of Gaston Saint-Pierre became known throughout
the world in the early 1980’s when he embarked on world
tours to present a unique approach to fostering people’s
well-being and healing powers with the Metamorphic Technique.
He had worked with Robert St. John, the discoverer of a revolutionary
approach to healing called Metamorphosis, a word he used to
describe the body of his explorations. To emphasise a specific
attitude of mind on the part of practitioners, Gaston called
his work the Metamorphic Technique, which stresses the importance
of detachment, allowing the client to function from the standpoint
of his or her own inner authority. The innate intelligence
guides the power of life of the client to do what is necessary,
the practitioner acting strictly as a catalyst.
In 1979, Gaston
founded the Metamorphic Association, which became an Educational
and Charitable Trust in 1983. He carried on writing, lecturing
and teaching throughout Europe and elsewhere. He has written
a few books, both about the Metamorphic Technique and about
a work which evolved from it called The Universal Principles.
